Donate
If you would like to support the project, you can stop by any of our partner stores to sponsor a book and write a note to accompany it.
If you aren't local, can't make it into a shop, or you'd like to make a tax-deductible donation to the project fund directly, there are several options:
If you'd like to donate another way, please reach out to us at info@prisonbooksproject.org.
Donating Books
We often receive inquiries from folks who would like to donate books.
Since our project focuses on fulfilling the requests we receive directly from incarcerated readers, we partner with local bookstores to order those specific books. This means that there's no easy fit to get donated books into the program.
Instead, we suggest donating your books to NYC Books Through Bars or Books Beyond Bars. These are both worthy projects that can use your donations more effectively than we can.
